  • Best of 2013

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, and while I'm frankly glad that it's over, I'm happy to have had so much great music to get me through 2013. You guys'll know some of it, other titles less so. If you know my tastes and my preferred recommendations, you'll know that I cannot praise each of these more highly. I know this list is long, but if you had any idea of just how much music we listen to each year, you'd be impressed than any of us can whittle it down to such small quantities of things that we actually repeatedly enjoyed! I hope that at least a few of you end up discovering some new treats after reading this. Happy New Year, everyone!

Meeting Christina Hendricks on a quiet street corner in SoHo. When she looked me in the eyes, smiled, and said hello, it felt like God herself had leaned in and whispered the meaning of life into my ear; if she hadn't been married, I probably would've flirted with her, too. I cashed in my big dumb starstruck fanboy card that evening. TOTALLY WORTH IT.
